When I was a young girl, I loved to sing. I remember standing at the bus stop, pretending to have my microphone in hand, singing my heart out as I waited for the bus. I would love to tell you that I grew out of this fascination, but truth be told, if my college roommate wasn't around, I would turn off all the lights, grab my hairbrush and sing in my dorm room. You see from little on I have had a desire to glorify God through words. Proclaiming Him from the mountain tops. After graduating with a Degree in Communications, my desire for singing turning into a desire to speak and encourage women in their faith journeys. My passion became seeing women grasp who God is and who they are in Him; wonderfully made, deeply loved and highly favored.
Having had lung disease for many years, in August of 2011, I underwent a double-lung transplant. Since the transplant, God has given me a greater understanding of His mercy, love and grace. Having been on oxygen for 16 months, God used that time to speak to my heart regarding beauty, trust, surrender, His faithfulness and perserverance... just to name a few. My story is truly HIS story and I desire more than anything to bring Him glory as I share it and various other topics. My life verse has become Isaiah 12:4 which reads "Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted. Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world."
For over 10 years, I have been blessed to speak at women's conferences, retreats, moms' groups, bible studies, etc. I would be honored to come to your women's event and speak on anything from grace to having oxygen tubes coming out of your face.
I hope to see you soon! Keep singing!
